Si l'utilisateur installe et permet de faire appel aux services de accessibilité dans le application malveillante, l'un des modules aura accès aux notifications entrantes, exfiltrant la communication de 17 applications y compris Skype, Gmail, Messenger y Tinder.
Le site application malveillant est téléchargé à partir d'un site web qui imite le site d'origine. Qu'est-ce que télécharger est un version modifié de l'application Télégrammereconditionné avec le code de backdoor de StrongPity.
